Fan Concerts

Fancons — short for fan concerts or fan meetings — are relatively intimate live events where artists perform, play games, and interact closely with their audience. They sit between a full-scale tour and a casual fan gathering: focused, personal, and often designed to create lasting memories rather than grand spectacle.

For fandoms, fancons are pivotal. They turn online support into shared, real-world experiences: fans meet one another, coordinate projects, learn choreographies and chants, and collect keepsakes that deepen emotional investment in the group. Those concentrated moments—special stages, surprise interactions, and limited merch—become communal touchstones fans reference for years.

For idols, fancons are equally important. They offer direct feedback and energy from a core audience, a chance to try new arrangements or concepts before wider release, and opportunities to show more relaxed, candid sides that don’t fit into large-scale concerts or press schedules. These events can strengthen artist–fan bonds, inform future creative choices, and support careers through ticket and merchandise revenue.

Fancons also shape fan culture: exclusive performances, photo ops, and fan-driven rituals become part of a group’s identity. That influence comes with responsibility—fans and organizers should prioritize safety, consent, and respectful behavior so these events remain sustainable, welcoming spaces for everyone.

Overall, fancons are where fandom and artistry meet one another in concentrated form: they fuel community, inspire the artists, and produce the personal moments that keep a fandom alive.

The Prom Queens

IVE's first tour, The Prom Queens, was announced on October 31, 2022. The tour started on February 11-12, 2022 in Seoul and ended on July 8, 2023 in Bangkok.
