Personal Background

Liz was born on November 21, 2004, in Jeju-do, South Korea. She is the main vocalist of IVE. She has a younger brother. She is known for her being shy but has a cheerful personality, which has made her a favorite among fans.

She is also known for her love of animals, particularly cats, which is reflected in her chosen animal symbol. She has a pet cats named Milk and Kami. She like doing nail art and puts her own makeup.

She earned her driving license in 2025.

Career

Trainee and Pre-debut

Before debuting with IVE, Liz was part of the KBS Jeju broadcast choir in elementary school. She was scouted by Starship Entertainment in 2019 while auditioning for a Pepsi ad. She also appeared in Taeyeon's music video for "This Christmas."

Debut with IVE

Liz is primarily known for her strong and distinctive vocal talent. She is one of the group's main vocalists, and her skills are frequently highlighted in their music.

Liz is praised for her smooth, clear, and stable vocals, which are said to be particularly well-suited for a "crooning style" of singing. Her voice is described as having a unique and beautiful tone. In November 2023, Liz participated in the promotional campaign song for 2030 Busan Expo, with by Soyeon of G-IDLE and Winter of Aespa. The song "NOBODY" was released on November 16, 2023, and it showcases Liz's vocal abilities in a collaborative setting.

In December 2024, Liz participated in the tVN tvN’s weekend drama ‘Love on the Narrow Bridge’ OST with the song "Summer". The song showcases her vocal abilities and adds to her growing discography as a solo artist. The song was released on December 18, 2024.

Heavenly Ever After (Original Television Soundtrack), Pt. 5

In March 2025, Liz participated in the JTBC, fantasy series ‘Heavenly Ever After’ OST with the song "Heavy Love". The song highlights her emotional depth and storytelling through music, further establishing her as a multifaceted artist. The song was released on May 25, 2025.

80s MBC Seoul Song Festival

Liz participated in the MBC's entertainment program 'Hangout with Yoo?'. She performed a cover of Park Myung-soo's "I Loved Even That Pain", in her soft and emotional vocal tone. The performance was well-received, showcasing her versatility as a singer. The pre-show aired on September 13th at 6:30 PM KST, and the songs performed by the finalists will be released on major music streaming sites, including Bugs, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 13th. All proceeds from the sales of the songs will be donated.

Taeyeon - "This Christmas" : In 2017, Liz appeared in this music video as a child before she was officially a trainee or a member of IVE. This is her most notable pre-debut screen credit.
